What will your Internship entail?
An intern at Silverman Media&Marketing Group/Ira Silverman Communications determines for himself/herself the scope, activities and responsibilities of their internship. A compatible educational background, initiative, common sense, enthusiasm, the ability to follow directions, writing skills, computer acumen, exceptional internet research skills, a "team spirit" personality, organizational/creative capabilities and salesmanship abilities are just some of the attributes that contribute to the type of work you'll be doing, your account load, etc. You, the intern, will help us decide the amount and types of accounts, projects and events to which you will be assigned.
Among the activities that an intern at Silverman Media&Marketing Group/Ira Silverman Communications will be doing are contacting the media, writing press materials, cover letters and emails, internet and resource book research, answering the phones and keeping meeting notes. He/she will constantly be learning about the PR industry and the media, with a focus on a wide array of clients and events. Typically, an intern is expected to work the equivalent of two-four days a week and will be reimbursed $15 a day for expenses - - but as of January 2016, all internship opportunities will be considered on their own circumstances in terms of days and hours worked and compensation.
